Meet the Speakers!

Join us for a special series of worship services centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ, built around the powerful question: “What manner of persons ought you to be?” (2 Peter 3:11)

This year, Lord willing, we are welcoming two speakers who are dedicated to faithfully preaching God’s Word.

Whether you are young or just young at heart, this meeting is designed to strengthen your faith, deepen your understanding of the scriptures, and encourage you to live as God calls you to live.

Hayden Robinson of the Chestnut Ridge Church of Christ, right here in our hometown of Mount Vernon, KY will be our young speaker. Hayden is 25 years old and brings a sincere love for the truth and a dedication to preaching it. He teaches regularly at Chestnut Ridge and he labors alongside his fellow Christians to spread the gospel in his community. He is also a mathematics teacher at Rockcastle County High School.

Joe Hisle is from Ada, Oklahoma and he labors with the Ada Church of Christ. Joe began preaching the gospel full time in January of 1966. He held his first gospel meeting at the Hilltop congregation in Liberty, Kentucky. Since then, he has worked with over 200 congregations of the churches of Christ in 27 different states. He has held nearly 600 gospel meetings, participated in several debates, and assisted in the establishment of new congregations of the Lord’s church. He continues to labor in the Lord’s work on a regular basis. We are excited to have him speaking for us this year!

What is the purpose of this Meeting?

This annual meeting is being hosted for the purpose of worshiping God in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24), growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:14-18), and contributing to the growth of the kingdom of God (John 3:5-6)
