Lesson 6: The Worship of the Church

The New Testament Church worships God in spirit and truth through five acts: the Lord’s Supper, prayer, singing, giving, and teaching. Worship occurs each first day of the week. The Church’s mission is to proclaim the gospel, edify believers, and provide spiritual community. Each congregation is autonomous, led by qualified elders and deacons. Christ’s church still exists today wherever people obey His word and follow the teaching of the apostles.
